Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists in our Australian business, for the role of Handyman (Property Services Coordinator) on a full time basis working 5 days per week (Monday - Friday), reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.
The role will be based at Murdoch University Village with an hourly rate of $32.30.
Duties
General maintenance and presentation of the Villages’ grounds.
Providing handyman repair work.
Acting as an on-site contact for external contractors and trades persons.
Assisting with spot, scheduled and end of semester room checks.
Providing advice on maintenance issues when required.
Desired Skills and Experience
Proven ability to perform various maintenance and repair work.
An ability to meet tight time frames without compromising quality and safety.
Demonstrated initiative in problem solving, being receptive and open to new ideas.
A good working knowledge of OH&S standards.
Previous experience interacting with customers.
An ability to work with limited supervision.
General computer skills including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Well-developed communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
