Job Description

The primary purpose of the role is to assist with the maintenance and presentation of the Village. The key areas within this role are as follows:

  • Maintenance
  • Repairs
  • Asset Management
  • Risk and Safety Management

Desired Skills and Experience

Technical Skills
  • Proven ability to perform a variety of maintenance work appropriate to the Village.
  • Ability to meet tight timeframes without compromising accuracy and customer service.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise a range of tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated initiative in problem solving, being receptive and open to new ideas and can adjust and respond accordingly.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and an understanding of database management systems such as StarRez.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.

  • An ability to interact appropriately with people on a range of different levels.
  • Strong focus on delivering outstanding results and experiences for customers.
  • Uses initiative to resolve issues and find solutions.
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity and commitment in all aspects of work.
  • Understanding and adherence to the requirements of WHS legislation and other legislation that impacts on your employment.
  • High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must possess an ability to work well in a team environment, whilst also being able to work autonomously.
 
Experience 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general facilities & maintenance
  • Previous experience performing a variety of repair work appropriate to the Village.
  • Previous experience in roles that require interaction with customers.
 
Qualifications 
  • Looking to complete an Associate Diploma or higher in Facilities Management or a related field.
  • Trade license in Electrical/ Communications, HVAC, Building/ Construction, Fire or Mechanical, or have experience deemed to be sufficient by Village Management.
  • WH&S, Risk or Safety related qualification would be highly regarded.
  • A current Australian drivers’ license
