Job Description

 

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong background in property maintenance, facilities management, or building services who enjoys working in a dynamic, resident-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day maintenance and repairs across the village to ensure a safe, clean and well-presented living environment for residents.
  • Undertake minor maintenance tasks, inspections, and troubleshooting directly where possible.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers to manage scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, and compliance checks.
  • Conduct regular property condition inspections and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems (e.g., fire safety, HVAC, lighting, access control).
  • Support room turnaround processes during peak move-in and move-out periods including inspections of residents apartments.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and issues raised by residents and staff.
  • Assist in planning and delivering preventative maintenance programs.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience in property maintenance, building services, or facilities coordination.
  • Strong practical skills and willingness to carry out minor repairs personally.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements in residential accommodation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with residents, contractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency with maintenance software or willingness to learn.
  • Availability for occasional after-hours or weekend work, as required.
