What’s the RA Role All About?
Live at UNSW Village and love it? Want to help shape it?
We’re looking for current UNSW students to join our team as Resident Assistants (RAs) the absolute legends who make the Village feel like home.
This isn’t just a job, it’s your chance to be a key part of the Village community. You’ll help plan, promote, and run events, support new residents as they settle in, and play a big role in creating a fun, welcoming environment for everyone who calls the Village home.
From movie nights and games tournaments to wellness walks and pancake brunches, if you can dream it, you can probably run it (and get paid for it 😎).
💬 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create and run student events (from chill hangouts to High-Energy Fun)
- Be a friendly, reliable point of contact for new and current residents
- Promote events and opportunities through socials, posters, and good ol’ word-of-mouth
- Support the Residential Life team with ideas, feedback, and good vibes
- Occasionally support the front desk team by answering general enquiries and assisting with check-ins and check-outs.

- Be planning to live at the Village through 2025 and 2026 (graduating no earlier than end of 2026)
- Be available to help during key turnover periods, especially:
- December–January (main new year turnover)
- May & September (smaller trimester turnovers)
- Be able to pass a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
- Have solid communication skills, a willingness to learn, and love being part of a team
- Must have Australian working rights
- Bring creativity, initiative, and good vibes to everything you do!
